OF ENCOURAGEMENT
Grants of encouragement of Andrée Ruffo’s fund
The Andrée Ruffo fund made
it possible to distribute small grants of encouragement of a total amount
of 250 $. The grants were allotted by balloting throughout the day. 4 young
persons received each one a check of encouragement of 25 $ for the efforts
provided throughout the year as well to the school as in the sport
activities.
One young
person Hamza Cherkaoui is the winner of the school grant of encouragement
of 100 $ to have been the only one to have to take part in the literary
contest announced and published in the local newspaper, "the Guide of
Montreal-North".
One family also
wont by balloting, a gif certificate of 50 $, for the beginning of term.
Prizes of speed marathon
This day enable us to
almost achieve all the goals previously stated
- Young people could identify significant
adults of their area of life
- The animation of the day has been done in
full safety and in a spirit of user-friendliness
- The isolation between families of the
district was temporarily broken;
- The day also made it possible to the families
to meet organizations and to identify resources being able to meet
their needs by means of the stands for information;
- We could give the families and local
organizations the chance of meet in an abstract way, in a convivial
climate of confidence.
The last objective
that was to give the habit to the young people "to move”
MORE OFTEN by the promotion of the benefits of combination SPORT-ÉCOLE in
prevision of the evils which can be related to the lack of sport activity,
can be achieved only in the medium term. For that, the municipal
authorities most encourage and allow such activities more than once a year.
